2000 scrambler 500 4x4 trans needed

Looking for a used trans for a 2000 scrambler500 4x4

Default 2000 scrambler 500 4x4 trans needed
Does the primary clutch have to come off in order to remove the trans?
The service manual will not be here til next week and I want to get started.

Default 2000 scrambler 500 4x4 trans needed
the primary should be removed so that you can also remove the clutch housing backing plate.
