Will I wreck my motor with a Twin air clamp on?
#1
A'm I jeopordizing my recently rebuilt motor by putting a twin air clamp on? I ride in all terrains. Sometimes its dusty and dry and other times I will busting through muddy water holes. I have a HMF pipe and will be purchasing a Rath header. Would like to go the extra mile and purchase a twin air clamp on. Just don't want to wreck my motor. Right now I just have a stock air box with a K&N. Would I be happy with just the Rath and HMF and the stock air box. Thanks

I have a twin air filter.........the only way the filter will wreck your engine is if it makes you flow better and you don't adjust your jet size....you should always check for dirt in the rubber carb intake boot when cleaning the filter...I have never had any dirt

i would say it depends on if you go in water deep enough to get the filters wet and get in the engine. air box saves alot of crap getting in. just my 2 cents.

I would say that I 'll never have water up to my air filter. Obviously I'll have water and sort splash on the filter but never fully up to or over my filter. My predator is stuck way before that happens!! My 700 is a different story.
