I had 3 small things that needed to be repaired and took it to shop.
1. Head light replaced. Yamaha said they would only replace it this time. Blamed it on condensation in the lens.
2. "O" ring lost from oil dipstick. It must come off easy. Would not cover it on warranty because I changed my own oil. That's ok, but the new one fits very loose. Probably be better off going to an automotive parts house and find one that fits tighter.
3. The rubber spacer that hold the ignition plastic popped off a week or so after I got it and they would not replace them either. Have to order some.
4. Picked it up in the sleet last night and when I started it to unload it from the truck, the choke felt like it was not hooked up. Must have been frozen. Ok this morning.

I noticed the last number in your small repairs. I think I broke the choke cable but it sounds exactly like what happened to yours. Maybe something weird is going on here, I'll have to check it out tonight.

We started ours up this morning with no problems and let them warm up for about 10 minutes. Then we went ice riding, what a blast. There was cars and trucks all over the place that had slid of the roads. We just spun donuts around them and went to the next crash. I can not figure out why people would get in the cars and try to drive on sheet ice. I was going to get my old 350 4X4 and pull a truck out until the fool kept trying to get it unstuck by spinning the wheels and buried the rear tires. Not even big red would get him out now. I was great fun riding until it started to rain and get slushy. Our riding gear looked like ice suits. It was amazing how well the tires worked too.

I noticed my o-ring was missing from my dipstick
the day after I got it. Must be a common problem.
Could not ride my raptor on the ice yesterday morning. Still in the shop for burnt up clutch.
Had to ride wifes trx300.Still was fun.
