My son has 2004 Raptor 80. I have to pull start it in the mornings when the motor is cold. Once it is started and warmed up, it starts fine for the rest of the day. I think I need to check the valve clearance. Does anyone have the specs for the Raptor 80 and how to do it exactly?

I have the same problem with my son's The last time that happened I had to put a new piston and hone the jug on it. I have no idea how many miles he has on it. I have 1500 miles on mine. A polaris Sportsman 800. He rides everytime I do, then some.In addition he has an entire year of riding vs mine. I do know he is a big boy and rides it almost daily around the farm and checking his traps. He is 11. I will do some checking at the dealership and see what they say. Keep checking the post. Maybe we both will learn something.
