Default Rincon v Rubicon

I'm in the market for a new Honda but unable to decide between the Rincon or Rubicon. The only ATV i have ever owned was a 1999 Arctic Cat 500. I'll be using it for four wheeling in Colorado with my wife and hunting in Texas. There won't be any hard core stuff, just putting around taking in the sights. Any suggestions?

They both are great atvs but both have two different styles. The rubicon is allot more utility and the rincon is more sporty. I would say get the rincon because of the elevations you will be riding in, you wont have to rejet since its efi. The rincon is way smoother with its independent rear suspesion. Get the ruby if you are using it for more work. But as always, ride them to make sure yourself

You can check out this thread where we discuss the Rincon's lack of engine braking: http://forums.atvconnection.com/mess...TARTPAGE/4.cfm.

Some folks like lots of engine braking, and some don't care.....just be sure that is something you can live with before you make your decision. If you are just into trail cruising and not into highly technical descents, might not be a big issue for you???????

Highspeed with your stated uses, you can't go wrong with the Rincon. I love mine. But as reconranger said (he loves to say this also) it doesn't have much engine braking. But the brakes work very well. So if you can operate a brake lever you won't have any problems. The difference in ride quality and handling between the 2 are night and day. The Rincon's IRS is like comparing a Cadilac to a Pinto. The ride is that much better.

Maybe it was a poor comparison.
