Default Adding carb cleaner to gas??

Honda 2002 foreman 450 owner..due to lack of use I had to have my carb cleaned by the dealer+battery charged+new gas...$165 later it starts and runs good since...My question is ..is it ok to add the concentrate carb/injector cleaner that i use occasionally for the truck in proper dosage?? does it do any good or harm? Also now i run premium gas, wondering if that helps anything?? Great Forum!!

I dont think you will see any damage from running carb cleaner in the gas. But i would not do it.

And you will make more horse power and burn cleaner with regular gas. These are low compresion engines ,So they require a lower octane fuel.

I use seafoam in every tank of fuel it's a fuel cleaner/stabilizer that cleans the fuel system and also the combustion chamber , it's safe to use in any 2 or 4 cycle engine ; you can get the seafoam at O'Reallys, Auto zone and Advance Auto parts stores ! I get mine from O"Reallys for $4.99 + tax , it may be more or less according to your local ; it's the best thing i've ever used in over 20 years of small engine repair ! ...................williebee
