Default 1988 yamaha warrior lights

i recently aquired a mint shape 1988 yamaha warrior its been well taken care of and completly stock. but the lights are way down on the front of it not up top like the newer warriors, what do i need to do to get a newer headlight to mount on my 88 where they mount on the late 90s warriors.

yeah, unfortunately the frames on the 87-88 warriors are completely different in the front, and the mounts for the headlights are part of the frame. The only chance you have is getting a hood from a newer warrior, getting the headlights, and making your own bracket welded to the frame. Many of the guys with newer warriors end up taking the big headlights off anyways, like I did. If you look at my pictures in the link to the left, you can see that the big goofy looking headlights are gone, and I installed a smaller, brighter set lower on the frame.
