What do you think is the best mud tire and size 4 the Sportsman? I use to ride a Grizzly till I recently bought a SP Ho.I had Vampires on the Grizzly. With the true 4 wd I didnt know which would be the best?

I have a 500 HO with 26 inch Goodyear mudrunners all the way around. I did have problems with the right front tire rubbing the fender everytime I hit a bump or hole. Dealer gave me a rubber spacer for each front spring. Doesn't rub anymore. I am very happy with these tires.

I have the 27" bi-tri claws, but would not buy 27" tires again, after realizing all I really wanted was the aggressive tread. I needed the lift kit from HL for the front for sure. Santa's been mailed for a set of 26" outlaws when these claws get dull.

Jamie,
Well there are alot of good tire out there it really boils down to what you are really wanting the tire to do for you. I am currently running the 28x10.5x12 Outlaws all the way around my bike and love them. Use to run 27x12x12 Vamps all the way around, but the vamps are just to heavy though good tires in the mud. Neither the Outlaw or the Vamp give you a smooth ride on the hard stuff.
There are also other good tires for both mud and hard pack such as Titan 589's, TSL super swampers, Goodyear Mudrunners, Mudbugs, Bi Claw Tri Claw combo so just look at what you are going to use the tire foer the mot and go from there. My choise is the Outlaws due to the group of guy I ride with riding in nothing but deep mud and water.

I find the Vampires to be a great mud tire and also have been to by the people I ride with that have them that the Outlaws have tremendous traction. If you dont want to lift it go with 25's, I have heard of some 26's rubbing but they should be ok. If you want 27's lift her up. Skinny tires on front unless your getting spacers or offset wheels. I have 13.5" wide vamps on the rear and they still clear the muffler.
