Default KTM's new quads

Check this out......

KTM are testing their new models....450 MX quad and 525 XC bike

Check this video out.

The XC plastics look similar to the Dakar enduro bikes.

Awesome

This is great news for the sport.

These bikes are gonna cost....but you will know its quality

I actually like the Dakar style plastic they have on that 525 XC quad. The best looking KTM quad is that first one in the KTM Quad 2 video on that YouTube web page though. It looks good, and with the 525 under its hood you know its going to have the best 4-stroke powerband ever in an ATV. I just bought another two stroke KTM (bike) yesterday, and have to pick it up next monday. I'll see if I can get any info on the new KTM quads. Might be time for a trade for the old YFZ 450 sooner than I thought .

Thats not a 525. Its a 950 twin converted to a quad. Go back and watch the video you can see the twin pipes

I saw the twin pipes, but thought it was a 525 with duals. The 525 does have dual head pipes by the way, but the headpipes combine to one exhaust on the bikes. I just thought they didn't combine the head pipes on the quad. Oh well, the 950 in a quad chassis would make a killer Dakar quad. Hopefully KTM will go after the quad class at Dakar as vigorously as they have gone after the bike class. If I remember right the top three at Dakar were KTM this year, and maybe the top ten were all KTM. I just remember seeing what looked like all KTM bikes when they posted the finishers on TV, and they only posted the top ten.

Its confusing because if you pause this video when the last quad rides past after almost wiping out, you can see a 525 sticker on the side of the bike.

I thought that this, the smaller bike was the 450 MX'r, and the middle larger bike was the 525 XC.

1..2..3..

These are conversions done by a 3rd party company, not prototype KTM quads.

If they release that 950 Dakar like quad to the USA it will be real interesting to see how it does in Baja. Having one of those to ride might even get me to go back to Baja.
