650 LE electrical question
#1
I have a 2005 and it is giving me fits with the charging. I am on my second battery and that is not holding a charge too. I don't believe I am running anything out of the ordinary electrical wise. I have the 2.5 warn winch that came with the machine and hand/thumb warmers that the dealer installed.
My examples: If I plow before I am done the battery is down low enough the engine dies.
I rode saturday, and need to re-inflate a tire. In the time I did that, the engine was stopped but the key on with the lights on, maybe three minute...battery wouldn't turn the engine over. Again, this was after riding for a good two hours.
With engine running, I could not use the winch to get my big stuck butt out of the mud and could barely get the cable back in after I had free spooled it out.
I am just getting to like this machine. I had major issues with the belts in the beginning. Best advice from my mechanic "you don't see them 18 wheelers running around in high gear when they're pulling a load or going up a hill." Since then, no more belt problems.
Also, does any one else have many alignment issues. I am running snow covered trails or fairly flat and my front seems to be constantly off.
Thanks for any advice.
