Default Sway Bar or 589's?

I just got my year end bonus and want to improve the handling on my 400. I've been saving to buy ITP Mudlite XTRs ($130 each), but the stock carlisle tires (yes, they stink) still have lots of tread so I can't see buying new tires and though about adding a sway bar for $129. But, my dealer has 589's on sale for $60 each. So now I'm tossed if I should buy the sway bar or go with the 589's and continue to save for the XTRs. Are the 589's good for trail riding or are these mostly for mud? I ride both, but mostly trail ride. Any suggestions are appreciated. Are the Mudlite Xls something I should consider instead of the 589s or sway bar?

Default Sway Bar or 589's?

i got the 589's and i love them. i do alot of trail riding and mud but mostly trail. they are a heavy tire but i have 2000 miles on mine and they are still at about 85 percent tread. with the sway bar you lose articulation which is of corse not good. that is a sweet price for 589's btw. and look at it this way when you decide to get rid of your 400 you will have tires with good tread to throw on for a lil selling point. i have about 100 miles on my stock tires, they still have the nipples on them and i took them off. this spring i am selling it and well that is just as good of a selling point as the winch. what size tires are the 589's? i would not go any bigger then 26 inchers on a 400.
