Thicker cylinder head cover gasket for 2001 400ex?
#1
Does anyone know where or if I can buy a gasket for my cylinder head cover that's not just plastic? Maybe something like a thin cork material. Actually, I don't know what the stock gasket is made of because I bought it used? Looking on bikebandit.com but would like to know what that's made of. I asked the guy from tech support and he thought they were made of aluminum.
I'm having trouble with losing a little bit of oil. I've used the stuff in a tube to try and seal it but that's not working 100%. Just looking for a little thicker material that precut to fit.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

you'll only find that gasket design one way. This is because the valve cover must hold the camshaft and rocker arms in the correct position. You start messing with different gaskets and you will throw off the precision fit.
