How in the world would anybody know anything about the Kawi?????? The thing isn't even out yet. Not even the magazines have done evaluation rides.

By ordering one, you are taking your chances on an absolutely unknown machine. All new machines have some problems, so be expecting that for sure!

But, THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS PUBLIC SERVICE! It's guys like you who buy a new quad sight unseen, then you discover its flaws and work the bugs out of it and do the R&D that the manufacturer neglected to do. We will all benefit from your experience!

I would think that for what type of riding you describe you do that the Raptor 700 would be a perfect choice........ I don't think I'd want to sell it.

Well it looks like I'm going to be taking the chance too. I'm going to be selling my Lakota pretty soon here. I am just sick and tired of carbs. I have to drop ANOTHER 200 bucks into that little 300 for a new carb. I made a mistake into puting alot of money into that Lakota [3000] and I'll be lucky to get maybe 2600 for it.

But I love the new KFX. And it looks like it is going to be alot like the Quadracer 450r... with a few differences.

Your making a so so deal. one thing is that i dont think u race and 450 r all race quads. they r not ment for trails cuz they r really low and could hit rocks and logs on the trails. one hit could cost you $500. one good thing is that surprisenly the kfx has a shorter wheelbase than the 700 and you could get through some tighter places easier. Also like other ppl said the kfx is a new quad and we dont know how good its going to be. We dont know how good kawasaki is going to do with their first ever 450. so if you get the 450 make sure u get a skid plate for the bottom. If i were u i would keep ur 700 since its only 2 years old and wait a while and see what ppl say about the kfx. and how good it s for trails. and for the type of riding you do i think the 700 is better.

like recon said, i think ur taking a risk but machines are becomming more reliable and i'd say u have a very good chance of having good resaults with the KFX
