I need help w/ my new DS650. I used to have a 400ex and loved the torque. I dont feel the DS has a great bottom range like the EX. Is their any mods that will help bottom not sacrificing mid or top? p.s. how do I change ur post screen name? I feel pretty stupid with a DS and be named "Sporttraxguy123"

pipe, K&N filter, dynojet kit or maybe a flatside carb w/accelerator pump when available.

pick your flavor for the pipe: FMF, Graydon Proline, Alba, Ron Woods, Big Gun, CT Racing, YRD, Duncan Double Barrel

Take your lid off your air box,and get a K&N filter, with jet kit. That will get the quick response with better exceleration. But if you want some more power, in the low and mid range, get a good pipe. When I first got my DS,I was thinking the same thing.I loved every thing about the DS accept that I couldnt throw my front end up as good as on my
400 EX.But the DS loves to roost, and I like doing that too.I took my airbox lid off,and could definiley tell the thing was getting alot better air to the carb.I could get the front end up 1st and 2nd and a little in 3rd,if you are just perfect,on the seat.I have not riden it much with the airbox lid off, because I need to rejet. Before next spring,I am going to get a K&N filter, with pre-filter,K&N jet kit,and run with the airbox lid off.I will also be getting the FMF slip on.

cd, i got my ds almost 4 weeks ago and the kit was ordered when ...... wait let me start from the beginning..... Steve bought his raptor and was killing my scrambler 400. I called alba and the deal was good, if I lived in ca. So I checked the web for the nearest dealer and found jd marine near me in dayton, oh. I called and want to buy a ds with a pipe, full armor(swing,a-arm,etc. plates),k&n power kit, shock covers. Dealer called back in a few days and said the no one makes an after market pipe or skid plates for the ds. But he can get the shock covers and the k&n. Last week I picked up my shock covers, get this - the salesman ordered 3 packs of shock covers, each pack has a complete (3) set in it. Now after calling him last week, his service guy was going to call and find out "what's up". I had this same kind of service form my local Polaris dealer. I guess here in western ohio the dealers didn't take there customer services classes! Anyway, the k&n has been paid for already. But what about the skidplates and pipes? I don't know about the plates, but I know there's pipes out there. If you could help (wih prompt service/ delv.), I would like to give you the sale. Contact me at dmeyer@thesmsgroup.com
