DS650 bottom-end power

I think you would really like the Woods Stage I kit. I have a Stage II on my DS. The Stage I gives mega low-end torque. As far as the carb goes. I really like the choke location ( it has a cable so I mounted it to my intake bolt and its really handy compared to stock and believe it or not this carb starts alot easier then the stock one especially in the cold weather. I dont recommend the pipe if you like to ride wheelies because it sticks out past the grab bar about 2 inches, so it would get tore up if you ride wheelies like me. Most of time I end up on my back with bike sitting straight up on its grab bar! HE! HE! As far as reliability ? I've never had any problems with mine and it dyno'd up to 10200 RPM . Those Rotax engines are bullet proof. I know ScoobyDFW had some problems with his , but his problems are the only ones I've heard of so far. You will need a twist throttle! I ran mine for one day without one and I thought I was going to have carpletunnel (how ever you spell it!) in my thumb. The twist is real easy and if you've ever rode dirt bikes or anything the change is no big deal. You get used to pretty fast.

I'm kind of confused about the so-called lack of low-end torque of the DS650. When I test rode one at my local dealership I remember spinning the tires on cement and when the salesperson locked it up he also was spinning the tires on pavement;dry conditions. It was that gravel type surface. I can't get my Raptor to do that, so please help me out on this one, because even though I didn't purchase the DS650 I honestly think that it's one bad-to-the-bone ATV....

See, one of the reasons could possibly be that I'm 6'5 225 lbs. I dont know but .. ru big or are u small? My gf got me a pipe for x-mas . I imagine that will solve it . If not I'll move to air filter (I'm gonna jet as soon as I get pipe) and other mods as I need.

I'm confused aslo about everyone saying a DS has no low end power? I rode my friends new Raptor today and I thought its bottum end was very week. I did like like the easy clutch. Its a nice bike but I think it has less bottum end then the DS does.
