Default Honda 450R stiff clutch cable...help

My buddies and I went riding this past weekend, I flipped my 450R and landed in deep mud, when i got it back up I notice the clutch really stiffed, I took it apart, the cable seems fine, it moves up and down no problem, when I put it back, same deal, very stiff, what happened, what should I do?

I'd say start with a new clutch handle.

we checked the handle, it works fine, looks like the problem may be in the cable, were going to lube it up and see what happens

Buy a new cable, you probably got mud/dirt/water in it.

I would say the same as what red said or the cable is binding or getting caught somewhere.

i have a clamp that u hook up to the cable and pump wd-40 through it via spray can and straw. i can't rember where i got it thow, mabe napa. it works wonders, i do it to all my quads a few times a year. u might be able to flush the dirt out, some how i always end up in mudd on any quad i have and i have never had to replace a cable yet. my .02
