i was wondering if anybody has ever clocked their 400ex. How fast do they go? because 400cc is alot, and i herd a 250r is faster or keeps up.

 

The 250r will SMOKE a 400ex. Not even close there. The 400 will do about 60-65. My rincon tops out at 65 and the 400 is about 2-3 quads behind me in a race. Now days 400cc is not much. The 400ex is proven very reliable and simple but it is waayyy outdated. They used to be the bigboy on the block about 5yrs ago but everything now days is much faster. Still a great quad though.

all the older ones up to i think 04 top at about 65 stock. The 05 and up top at 55mph from differant gear ratios. You can gear up for more top speed.

A 400ex vs 250r stock is close. I for got but i no they were close but i think the 250r took off better and the 400 gained on it or somthing like that for stock vs stock.
