Hey yall just wonderin if yall've had yur first service yet. What'd it cost and what'd they do. I've already changed my oil, I here there suppost adjust tha valves but I also here they dont. Anyways just curious about how much they hit ya for and if they did anything other than an oil change.

 

All my dealer did was change my oil/filter and said the valves didn't need checked however that varies depending on who you ask but I didn't have mine done and I paid $33 + parts. If you do have the valves done I would expect the service to be around $150 that is what the brute usually costs to get the valves done around here anyways.

 

Thanks buddy, I dont guess theres a way to find out if tha valves need adjustin is there? Oh well

 

Welcome to the forums...If your quad start to start after a while of cranking and starts easier when it is hot then that is a sign that your valves need adjusting, but before you even get to that point I would recommend you check the valve clearances to make sure they are up to spec and you should be able to do it yourself...Just pick up a manual from the local dealer and some tools and it should be easy enough.
