Default Questions about the DS650

I would just search for normal wear and tear and make sure that it shifts smoothly and everything seems to work good and the bike has been maintained and valves have been adjusted...There should be normal wear on the bike like sprockets, chain, brakes, etc...But if the bike runs good and starts right up I would say it is a good pick up, the ds is a very powerful bike, but is wider then others, heavier, and bigger which most smaller guys won't like...I am 6 ft 160 pds and the ds is an awesome machine and have had no troubles with jumping it or flying through tight trails...Let me know how you make out with the ds.

Well it has RideFX shocks on it, k&n filter, big gun pipe and apperently has been rejetted. The plugs looked rich, so Im not to worried about that.

It rode fairly nice, altough I was only on a road. It didn't seem to pull as hard as a friend of mines 03 raptor, but I only revved it to about 6500 according to the tach.

The guy is asking for 4500 cnd. (3,889usd)

Coesmetically prretty good shape, brakes were ok, shifted smoothly.

Update so far...

To me that sounds a little too high unless it has alot of aftermarket or something on it and looks like it has barely been driven...If you can get the price down I would go for it and the ds has tons of torque, but it just takes it longer to get up to speed.

That does sound a little high, I would try to talk him down a little if it was me. If the guy really wants to get rid of it he will most likley come down some.

Does it come with any other extra's, like a spare set of tires on wheels or something like that? I do know around here we can get a good used DS with a pipe and a set of paddles for about $2500-4000, and even those have some more done to the engine.

Yeah, hes including a brand new set of razr's w/o rims, just rubber.

The ds is rare around here. Its hit or miss in the Buy and Sell & autotrader. Maybe why the price is higher.

But I also notice alot of items are cheaper in america. I read somewhere that snowmobiles in perticular, cost 30% less there?! Raptors are always over 5g's here, no matter the year on it. Stock.

Anyways, thanks for the input thus for, anymore is appreciated.
