i was out with my quad on the weekend. When the snow got too deep, I switched to 4x4 to get out. 4x4 did not engage and i got stuck. After getting it home, I tried the 4x4 again to see if works. It doesnt. Anyone have any ideas as to whats going on. Why is my 4x4 not working?

first thing is to see if its getting power threu the awd switch. is the speedo working?

 

Most of the time when that happens its just the wireing. We had that happen to are 2001 sportsman 500

 

the speedo isn't working. It hasn't worked for a long time after i rolled it but i never had trouble with the 4x4

 

anyone have any other ideas?

 

1st, make sure your display reads in gear High or Low and not Error. AWD will not work with an error message.

 

well all i can tell you is that alot of people who's speedo stop working usually means that the awd goes as well. it does run thru the speedo.
