i would remove all that and wash and rinse it thoroughly with gasoline. i'd replace the filter. i'd remove the fuel lines too and rinse and wash them thorooughly too in gasoline. do you have an external inline fuel pump too huh? i'd do the same to that too.

yeah it was full of water and mud and sand as were both filters lines everything how did it get there theres no way it came in through that lil vent on tank or the gasket for pump.

bad gas at the gasoline station. you got all the dirt and crud from the bottom of a practically empty old gasoline tank. have you summerge the atv huh? if not thats the most logical place you could have gotten it from. oooh unless the old lady is pissed off? a mean or jealous friend? dude if you have not summerge it, and even so its practically unlikely to have received so much dirt, mud and water in the tank from summerging it.

I completely sunk my 05 700efi it also flipped upside down and was under over an hour before I could get it out. I drained the clutch case/emptied the tank/ when I took the spark plugs out I turned it over with the the starter and water shot out over 20 feet. There is a valve stem like tube under the tank where I blew out the fuel line ( after I unhooked it from the fuel pump) I had to change the oil about 5 times (use cheep oil the first few times). Considering what happen I was very nervous about the out come, but was happy with the result after it was all over. It never once smoked and after the tank was cleaned and fuel filter replaced it ran as good as ever. I was able to get it up to 70mph after I put it back together.

did you read the topic? ofcourse i submerged it but wanted an answer to question as its fixed but i dont want the mud and water in there again. is it from trying to restart it while in water but cant figure out how so much mud ends up in tank.as the end of vent tube and dash was still above water.

thats so odd that so much mud and water was in there. maybe somehow the gas cap to the tank came loose some how.
