Does it have a high and low beam built in? My old Scrambler (03 500) had wires under the hood to tie into for high, low, and reverse as well as keyed power I think. I would use them if your bike is the same. Just use a test light, they are harnesses that just end. I think they were green, yellow and purple??? Have a look and see what you find.

I just checked the polaris site and it doesn't say anything about hi/low beams so i am guessing that it does not.. That is what i was worried about. If i spliced the wires into the existing headlight wires and ran it on low beam it should be o.k. but than if i switched to hi will it BLOW or just short out or even ruin all of the other electrical systems???

Well check under the hood for the colored pigtails. If they are there use a test light to find either the high or low beam, whatever you prefer, and then ground it to the frame. It doesn't matter what way current flows thru the bulb. And make sure you leave enough wire to pull the hood off when needed
