I have a 96 Sportsmans 500, the front wheel drive will not lock in. I have put new coils on the struts, new override switch assembly. The coils are being magnatized. Neither side locks in.

How do I test this further?

Other Polaris riders on here say that they need the RIGHT Polaris hub lube in them or they might not engage properly!!!!!.........Someone will post to tell you the whole story!!!!...Caper......

 

I filled the hubs with tranny fluid. What does it need???

 

dont know about the older ones but new ones have to be hub fluid or it wont work right. check your manual to see what it takes. if it says hub fluid then thats most likey part of the problem.

 

Dsohns, try taking apart the hub and check the armature plate to see if the 3 ears are worn off. Also check the bearings for wear.
