For some reason, his belt may be getting wet. I for one have no problems in water or mud. But if its a early year V2, it may be leaking somewhere. Highlifter has some good clutch kits. Otherwise, have him take the belt cover off, check the deflection and wear on the belt, and put a new gasket seal around the belt cover. He can also tighten all of his hose clamps coming off the front airbox and main airbox to get a good seal

I have seen snow dust cause the belt to slip but this more like the belt needs to be griped better. Will these kits help.

If the belt is slipping then obviously there is a problem with the belt, putting in a clutch kit is not going to cure the problem until you address the real issue.

Normally I would agree but we're talking about the infamous V2 clutch here, notoriously crappy. I would recommend a clutch kit for ANY and EVERY V2 owner.

Was not aware that the v2's had a history behind the clutches... I think I would still start with the simple and least expensive, checking, measuring, cleaning etc...

New primary and secondary springs, along with a night tight belt will cure it. Pretty good chance a new belt won't be needed, nor will a full clutch kit.
