400ex: disconnecting wires to headlights
#1
Ok this may be a dumb question, I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am taking the front plastic off my 400ex and can not get the wires to the headlights to disconnect. It looks quite simple but it will not disconnect. If anyone has any tips that would be great! Thanks!!

It happen to me the first time, I spend almost 40 minutes to do it, but is the easy think in this world, just use a pen a push the small pin, and pull at the same time the connector, it will release very easy without pull hard and destroy the connector.

So, did you get the wires disconnected O.K.? I had the same issue. Those two connectors, one for lights and one to the ignition switch look like they have a latch on each side (4) that you need some wonder-tool to press all 4 at the same time you pull, or two buddies with screwdrivers in hand to help.....
Lemme know....Thanks!!!!

THESE ARE NASTY, I fought with them for so long! There is three tabs which all have to be pushed in u gotta pull hard. It should be eliminated soon on mine, I want to put easier plugs on it, maybe these are better waterproofed though.

I'm late to answer you, sorry about it but I was on a trip.
Is very easy to do it, find the pin on the connector, push it and pull the connector, no need a special tool or a gorilla to do it.
After find the way you would be amazed in how easy it is.

That is very simple. you're trying too hard! Once you do it right you will say to yourself damn that was easy. I never had a problem disconnecting mine. either press down or pull up on the little tab and then just pull it out, i cant rember but it only takes a couple seconds.
