there is a tecate for sale near my house and i would like to know what you guys think it is $2000 and is good shape and has had the crappy stock carb replaced but other than that its stock but it has wheel spacers i have been looking to buy a 250 2 stroke and how does it compare to the LT and the TRX

The tecate was pretty bad a$$ in its day just like the 250r was. The only thing about the tecate is it dont handle as good as the 250r but just as fast.

You can find all kinds of tecate parts on ebay or go to tecateconnection.com. There are parts out there. You can even google tecate parts.

Id get it if I were you ..... but then again im always partial to keeping ole 2 smoke classics alive. There definitely unique, head turners and conversation starters on the track and trail. The acquisition of parts might be harder than say a 250R or lt250 but not impossible although I definitely wont use them as "daily drivers".

It sounds a little high, but not too far off if it's in good shape. OEM parts aren't that hard to find; aftermarket is the problem. I envy the 250r and all it's available mods.
