Kazuma 50 too much gas overflowing bowl
#1
This forum has been great, tons of information. Bought a used Meerkat 50 off ebay, didn't start, adjusted the valves with the
instructions here and bam, the thing fired right up. Awesome guys, thanks a ton!
Now my new problem, as soon as I turn the gas on, the bowl over fills and gas leaks out of the over flow down on to my garage floor.
I have rebuilt the carb, then replaced all of the new parts back to the old parts. It starts, idles, and runs great other then the fuel leaking.
Thought the float was in wrong, but it only goes in one way to get the bowl on.
Am I missing something, did I loose something like a float valve? I know the floats attach to the carb with a pin, was there something attached to the float that sits in the vavle body? Anybody got a diagram of the inside float area of the carb, or any other suggestions? Please help? Thanks

There should be a needle attatched to the float. That is what stops the fuel flow when the bowl is full.

Thanks found what I was lookig for. The pin from the new carb kit was not the right one. I found the old on the garage floor.
Installed it back in the carb and problem solved.
Thanks MWQ!
