Default what to expect?!?!?!

alright, my buddy has challenged my DS to a race! He just got an 03 Raptor 660. it is completly stock. He is convinced that it will blow my DS away! I am not so convinced. But I told him fine!
So we are gonna race head to head --drag of coarse, and I am not sure how far yet--on our own quads and then switch. Me on his quad, him on mine. B/c we both have about the same exp., and we both weigh the same. Well, he is 4 lbs. lighter than me. And our tires are about the same tread.
My DS basicly just has the factory carb. mods, but when we race, it will have a 14 tooth front sproket, RWR CDI, K&N air filter, and I am going to remove the fenders (just for the race though).
So am I correct in my assumption? The DS should win? Even if we both ran completly stock, shouldn't the DS still come out ahead?

Also, since this will be my first time dragging I need some advice. Like approx. what gear to start in, approx. RPM's, proper weight displacement. Help me out guys/girls. Any information is better than none at all...which is what i have right now!!! LOL....this might be a disaster waiting to happen.

Thanks PPL.!!!!!

With a 14 tooth front you will not have as much top end as he does. Keep the race short... 300ft maybe. That is drag standard anyway.

Short race you should beat him. If it gets long he will pull you. What are you racing on pavement or dirt... you don't want to go dropping that clutch on pavement. Either way with the 14 tooth start in second, weight foreward on the tank. When you get going you can move back to get the weight over your wheels.

Good luck!
