Quest 500 front drive train thump

Quest 500 front drive train thump
I just bought a used 02 Quest 500 with 550 miles on it. I did not notice this durning my test drive but now that I have it home I notice a thump in the front drive train everytime I go from a dead stop or change from frorward to reverse when I apply the gas. I know little about BRP and am not sure if this is normal?????? Would really appreciate some help.......
