Default Kodiak 400 no spark

2004 Kodiak 400 has no spark. If 3 wire plug from magneto is unplugged engine will run but not charge. Manual says to replace CDI unit. Charging stator checks out but I have 1.5 ohms between each magneto wire and ground. Iam not shure if this is ok. Any help would be appreciated.

If unplugging your stator makes the motor run correctly, I would also test the voltage regulator. Does the starter even turn over when the stator is plugged in?

The regulator is new, starter turns over engine when magneto is plugged in. I went to talk with the local Yamaha mechanic and found out that there should be no continuity between the magneto wires and ground. I have 1.5 ohms between the mag wires and ground and this must be my problem.
