Default 400 crankcase and water pump question

On the 400 engine can the crankcase draw coolant in from a leaking water pump? I can't figure out how coolant is getting into my crankcase. Can't see any case or head cracks and head gasket is ok. Pressure tested on bench shows no leaks in engine top end. Any ideas? Thanks.

Default 400 crankcase and water pump question

Although I am replying to my own post I just wanted to put this on the record so someone else can use this information if they have the same issue. Although I check my counterbalance oil initially for anti-freeze, there was in fact coolant in this chamber. I could not tell until I took the drain plug out and out came the green stuff! This is telling me that the water pump is leaking into the chamber so I am going forward with the water pump seal repair.
Nobody answered this post but I still want to thank all of the other members in the past that posted similar complaints which lead me to this repair. Long live ATV Connection!!!
