Thinking of buying an '07 Rubicon. How much weight can the front/rear racks carry?. Honda doesn't list any information.

I've had 300# on the rear rack, 100 on the front. It made steering weird, but worked OK.

 

Thanks!. That gives me hope. I want to do some backwoods camping with it, and I want to be able to carry all the 'necessities'. Tent, cot, sleeping bag, food, water, etc.

Any suggestions on where to find rack baskets to haul such items?. The tent, bag, and cot I'll get from Cabela's.

I have had probably 200 pounds or more on the rear when I went to Utah. It might be a little big but one of the boxes I used I got from Walmart for like 40 bucks. I believe it's called the Smart Bin. The other box I used is made for atv's but is more expensive. I bought through Bass Pro magazine for around 100 bucks.

You won't have any trouble carrying weight on the Rubicon, believe me. They're a work horse.
