Default Recoil help on 250 trailboss

I recently bought a 90 250 trailboss and the outer recoil is off it. I am confused as this seems different from the typical honda or snowmobile recoil. The fiche I found shows that on the outside half of the recoil there is only the plastic wheel part that the rope winds on?? IS this correct?? The rest is behind the other cover closer to the motor. I have the outer cover and the plastic wheel but do not know how it connects to the inside parts. there must be a bolt i do not have. My question is this special bolt or what do i need??? The fiche does not show a bolt there?? Can someone explain this to me ??? Thanks

Do you mean where the bendix is? Are you looking to get to that? To get to the bendix or the inside of the pull starter you need to take the five or so bolts off of the pull starter housing and the whole houseing will come off. I think you just have the cover off, right? Did you remove the black cover or the whole thing?

Thanks for the reply.
When i bought this the guy handed me the outside cover and the plastic wheel the rope winds on. The inside cover is still on and there is an open hole in the middle of it. My question is what holds on the plastic wheel some sort of bolt or what am I missing here??

Now I understand your question, but I don't have an answer for you. My pull cord is in pieces right now. Somebody on here will be able to help you out. Good luck.
