Default Buying new from the dealer

Maybe a stupid question, but, I have never bought anything new from a dealer other than my wife's car. Anyway, about to make the jump and buy a z400. Am going to be paying cash. How much have you folks been able to talk a dealer down? The z400 lists at my dealer for 5899. What's a reasonable price to pay? Thanks.

Hard to say, not knowing what part of the country you are in. It looks like eastern and southeastern dealers are practically giving quads away.

Here in the southwest, you are going to pay MSRP plus, freight, setup, license, and tax. I can usually talk them out of the settup charge, but nobody is usually willing to do much more than that.

Just like when you bought your new car, the salesman is going to screw you no matter what...it's all just about how good you feel when you walk out.
Walk away happy thinking you did alright, is the best you can hope for.

Bought my KFX last June in Arlington (D&S). First thing is make them give you an OTD (out the door) price. That is the bottom line what you're. Unfortunately, we are in an area the doesn't deal too much. I got mine for 5800.

Now, Powersports of Arlington, gave me an OTD price, but then tried to tack on taxes and things. That is not an OTD price.

If you don't mind driving a bit, there is a place about 60 miles south that will give you a good deal.

Sorry to stop and not leave any dealer info, had to go work.

Anyway, I'd at least call them. They called me back a few times saying they'd beat the deal I had found.

Bad news is, my memory wasn't so great. It's in Kerrville.

I surfed around ATVTraderOnline and found the lowest price on a new 2007 within a ~300 mile radius. I printed that article out and took it with me to the dealer for ammunition (just in case). To my surprise, his initial offer was actually $50 lower than the lowest I could find across the site. Sold me
