Shock swap from Grizz to Kodiak

Shock swap from Grizz to Kodiak
Instead of spending $100+ for a lift kit for my '94 Kodiac, would it be possible to take shocks from a Grizzly and swap them into my machine? If so, how much lift difference should they make and how would they affect handling, especially compared to a lift kit? Surely there are some used ones on eBay that could be bought for a decent price...
