Does anyone know the grade of steel the 2001 Banshee Axle is? I'm using it for a separate project and need to do some minor welding to it.

Not sure about the actual grade, but I have done some welding to Yamaha axles before, and the welds took fine to different types of steel. I wouldnt recommend it for something under a lot of stress, though. What are you building, a heavy duty mailbox post or something?
