I just bought an 01 Blast and for some reason I found a Champion Plug in mine but switched it to an NGK BR8ES as thats what the manual calls for. I am sure yours would be the same.

The stock is BR8ES. a B7ES or even B6ES will work fine too. No worries.

The R stands for resistor. It is not necessary.
