i bought last week a used honda 125 atv and was told is a 1987; anyway i been doing a research to get the manual for manteinence guide and i dint know wich manual is the correct one, some manuals say are made for the 125 trx,the other ones 125 fourtrax so i'm confused. i know that at that time, the honda 125 atv's were made i beleive in two diferent models one was with a white body ,very sport looking and the other one it was a red body; WICH ONE IS A TRX AND WICH ONE IS A FOURTRAX?

are they the same machine in all aspects with a diferent plastic body?

do they use the same manual? some manuals the are printed untill 1986,and someone told me is a suplement for the 1987 model ,IS THAT CORRECT?
how can tell the year of my atv; is marked somewere in the machine?

overall it was a good deal and they are known to be a very good machine, the one i got it starts inmediatley and everything works; cosmetically needs some love, the rear plastics are color red,and the front it has the plastics for the honda 300 rancher,because the original plastics were misplaced by the previous owner.

i was told it has a new top end with around 150 hours on it, it has new brakes and the transmision it was redone, the previous owner is a mechanic so is easy for him to deal with it.

the gas tank it has a little rust surface,like a spots, is a way to control that?

could i change the oil to syntetic been the engine so old?

what is the best gas to be used?

if i check the compression,what should be a good compression?

what it could be sprayed in the hole machine to pretect it agains rust and that is safe for the engine components? is a lots of rust in miami, fl.

the engine is dirty on the outside,it has some grease and i will like to clean it,is any product that can be sprayed in the outside and that is harmless for inside in case a little accident happen and it goes inside?

i will appreciatte any information i can get, is o good machine and i will like to keep it runnig excellent and keep it in a good shape and condition.
