HI. I have a 2002 sportsman 500 H.O. ran great but started bogging when u give it gas.It starts right up no prob idles great but doggs out when u start giveing it gas anyone know what might be wrong?I have had at least 10 people work on it for hours a day for a few weeks and half of them are mechanics that work on them everyday and yet know one can find out what is causing this.So if anyone can help that would be great.

 

I'd say your carb settings are messed up. I'm having similar problems with my '03 700

 

First thing I would check would be the ramp buttons in the secondary clutch.Then the reverse limiter ,then go to the carb.

 

well as for the carb settings being messed up im not for sure on.Iv cleaned and went over the carb 3 times checked everything on the carb the only thing found wrong on the carb is one of the adjustment screws is stripped so i dont know if that could be the problem but i dont see how the screw would of stripped its self.I have not checked the ramp buttons yet but i will be looking into that and the reverse limiter thax for the help.
