Default Getting back into riding..

Im sure no one remembers me, but i used to have an 02 baja a couple years ago that i had to sell. well ive finally gotten the chance to get back into riding so i thought id make a post for suggestions on what quad to get. i'm about 170lbs and 5"10 so im thinking about going with a 450 this time. I'm in Kentucky so its mostly trails and im thinking about easing into racing hare scrambles this winter. I'll probably spend around 4-4500 so if anyone has a suggestion on which way to go id really appreciate it.

I would wait for the DS450 to come out. If you have waited this long, just wait a little longer for this new machine to come out... It should be a great riding machine..

are they really comming out with one? I remember a few years ago it was this huge rumor and there was always a post about "secret" info or something where someone knows someone who said it was comming out soon.

To be honest with you I would suggest going with either the Honda or Kawi if you are going into gncc type racing...The Honda has proven its self over and over again and don't think you will be dissapointed...You will be paying a pretty penny for the new ds I would bet and when you start putting aftermarket into the quad who really cares because they all aren't stock anymore.

lol im going to be in debt either way.. i just would rather be 4k in debt than 7k in debt. espically with college and stuff. but i think i can have just as much fun on a used 450 as a new ds. thats one of those.. "maybe one day" deals.

but back to topic. bombrider04 are you comparing the honda 450 and kawi 450? How does the yamaha 450 compare? Or is it just really overrated?
