how fast can a stock 05 300ex go on flat pavment tops

 

rider weight and wind conditions ideal .. 58 - 60?

 

i have a 300ex and it is moded with a new cdi for more rpms and it does about 59mph with the stock cdi it did 52 mph

 

hey, im buying a used honda yellow 300ex for 1600 he said it is 2005 but how would i check? is it listed on the bike and were. im gonna give it a test drive and can you tell me what to check to make sure it is good, he said he is gonna change the spark plug for me. whre is that locate.. this is gonna be my first atv, and can you tell me how do i get into reverse i alredy learned the gear patern down-1 up 2-2 up 1 3 e.c.t

my 300 was my first quad aswell and i can tell you its alot of fun to ride and has great power of its size.my 97 300 has it tag right behind the front bumper it says year,model. i dont know if it was moved for later years.getting in to reverse is very confusing i found out how to use it by mistake.i said you should ask the person thats selling it all that you want to know.itll be easier if you see how then to read how.i think its odd that an 05 is going for 1600 05s new were over 4000. 07 300 i think go for about 4600 that would be strange for an 07 in two years to loss 3000 in value so give it a good look over.look for cracks in the frame,leaking oil,welds by the a arm mounts.also ask why its being sold.people that sale quads for less then normal because of damages,dont have a place to ride,or came in to hard times and need the money.if its damage they try not say it so look carefuly for any sign of damage.

 

just checked prices for 07 300 they go for 4899.that is a good guess what it would cost for a 05 when they were new.so that would be would be more then 3000 lost of vaule in two years.check ebay to see what 05 300 are going for my guess would be high 2k low to mid 3k.most would have some bolt on mods few are fully stock.

 

i talked to him, my brother brought a 05 blaster from him and it runs fine there is just scratches on the plastic cause he rides prob hard but it runs good and no problems yet


from the same kid i want to get the honda but it seems like he dosnt know what it is worth and just wants money since he is into dirtbiking now... how should the engine sound and what should i look at..he said ill put in new spark plugs for me.. what does this mean

spark plugs keep the quad running by burning the fuel.he my be saleing at that price because that what he may need for a dirt bike.just change the oil and spark plugs about every 5 tanks of gas.
