Jetmoto Sport 250 front bumper replacement with small rack.
#1
I could have sworn I remember someone saying they found a bumper that would work on the 250 from a yamaha or something. I'm trying to put a rack on, but I don't want to mod my frame or front bumper. I plan on simply replacing the bumper with a single-bar bumper that has a small utility rack on it because I'm thinking about putting an airbox with a small snorkle up there.
If anyone knows a bumper like this, let me know before I start drawing. =)
If anyone else would be interested in a bumper like this, shoot me a PM because we can make 2-3 as fast as we can 1.

I want to use T6061 aluminum, and I don't have a welder that can do aluminum here. I would have to cut and measure everything and take it someplace to pay someone to help.
I did have some ideas while looking at the quad though. I was thinking about taking off the body panel that has the headlights and cutting a peice of lexan to fit there. Then painting a chrome #1 with a black background on it (backwards on the inside like in RC car bodies.) Then I could put a couple 35W driving lights from autozone on the handlebars or front bumper and use 1" square tube for most of the bumper and a piece of 2" tube for the actual impact part of the bumper. I would be pretty easy, but there would have to be angled cuts all over the place.

I found that a bumper for a Suzuki LTZ-400 will fit the 250 Sport. The upper mount is almost perfect, the lower mount will have to have about an 1/8" spacer on each side between the bumper and mount. You could stack some flat washers between them.
The bumper I actually looked at was a Blingstar, but if it will fit, any bumper for that model Suzuki should work. I just liked the look of the Moose V-Front the best.

I don't remember which years were listed on the Blingstar bumper. I'm assuming it was for the newer models, but you know what happens when you assume. I'll find out though.
