06 honda rancher es rolled
#1
So after reading this forum for almost a year a bought a quad 3 months ago, put well over 200 miles on it, and rolled it doing the most simple minuet thing. It's in perfectly good shape still, except it will not start and the ignition won't turn on. I thought I remember the dealer tell me about a safety switch that shuts it off when you roll. Any ideas?

Well, I rolled my friends 02 350 rancher 2 weeks ago and it didn't even turn off. I rolled my 420 rancher into a ditch this weekend and it didn't turn off then either. A friend of mine rolled his twice within 5 minutes and it just flooded after the second roll. Sometimes the engine cut off switch on the left handlebar gets flipped to off, but I do not know of anything else.

Check the battery connection. I have heard of a lot of Hondas with loose battery connections, maybe the jar loosened it. Also, check your fuses in the black box under the seat behind the battery, maybe it shorted and popped the ignition fuse.

I rolled my 07 420 down a hill on its maiden trip. After bouncing off a couple trees, it ended up on its side. The engine cut out and gas was spilling out of the breaster hose. After getting back on all fours, it started right up and we continued on.
