Morning All,

So I went to clean my airfilter last night and found about an ounce or so of CLEAN oil in my airbox!!! What gives?

I use Spectro Air filter cleaner to clean it, then Spectro Air filter oil to oil it... I am thinking I might have used too much Air Filter oil and it just dripped out???

Any Clues on what is going on? The engine oil is not lower, it is at the same level!

 

I'd say it dripped out as you said. New a kid who overfilled his 450 with oil and he had it come back up into his airbox.

 

Your crankcase vent hose hooks up to your airbox. When you run your quad it sucks the oil vapors out of your crankcase and it settles in your airbox. That may be some of the oil that you are experiencing also.

Ok... so is this a NORMAL condition???????

 

Yes. Expect some oil in there.
