It's hard to make a Warrior "fast". How fast do you want it to be? The best mods you can do are: Better air filter(K&N), a good cam(Webcam or equiv), 366 cc 10.5:1 JE piston kit, and a 14 tooth front sprocket will give you decent power without spending a fortune. With these mods I was keeping up with 400EXs. If you want to spend a little more, get the larger Kibblewhite valves, which are pretty cheap, but you have to pay for your head has to be machined a little. For $200-350 you could get your head ported & polished. If you do all that and its still not fast enough, sell it and buy a faster production bike.

Dont waste the money on a header pipe for a Warrior. Every experienced ATV engine builder I talked to said the factory header pipe is fine and that an aftermarket rev box does nothing for a Warrior. A stock Warrior should run around 55-58 mph. I had a stock Warrior that I took to to the dragstrip and got 55 mph out of it in the 1/8 mile. I did the first mods listed above with the 366 kit and went back to the dragstrip and got 65 mph out of it. I havent been to the dragstrip since the 446 kit, but just messing around in some fields I am getting beat by stock YFZ450's by 3 bike lengths.

O yea and were you topped out at the 1/8 or were you still climbing? What do you think your 446 tops out at? i was looking at getting a 446 kit also but who knows. When you head out to the track let me know what you run.

It was still climbing, but I was almost topped out. I had stock rear gearing with a 14 tooth front sprocket & 20" tires. I would guess the 446 will top out around 69-70 with the same gear setup. On the road topped out long distances the 450s will only leave me by about 6 car lengths. I could go with a 15 tooth front sprocket, but I like my gearing now. About the 446, I would not recommend it. The only reason I did is because my crank was locked up and the cylinder was scarred with it bored 80 over and the 446 was almost as cheap as the factory crank and sleeve. The 446 really didnt impress me a whole lot. For the money, you can't beat the 366 and you still have your reliability. I hope to take it to the track soon (after I replace the head gasket, again)I'll let you know what it does.

There are better slip-ons out there. HMF is the first to come to mind. Dynojet is a poular jet kit company. You need a jet kit now if your bike runs lean. If it is running fine, you will need a jet kit later if you get a filter, better pipe, or do engine mods.
