Ok guys, you have steaered me away from the K&N because of small particles still being able to enter the engone. So, now which , the Twin air or the uni ?
Which and why ?
Thanks,

I say a Twin-Air and a Uni are about equal.
I ran a K&N for a while with a prefilter and kept it clean and it still let a lot of fine particles through. Lesson learned.

The most important thing on the EX is to get rid of that very restrictive wire support that goes inside the air filter!

I don't have any recent experience with Twin Air. I think their filters are fine, but I don't recall what they have for the support cage????????

I have had problems with the plastic collars on UNI wire cage filter supports collapsing eventually. After a while it will begin to collapse and you will have to toss it and buy a new one....long before the air filter is worn out.

The absolute best thing is to get the Pro Design (Pro Flow) aluminum adapter and foam filter (made by UNI). It is all very secure and everything fits nice...no chance of leaking...nothing to collapse!

Where abouts do I get the above setup at a reasonable price ? Do you happen to know if Tucker Rocky or Parts Unlimited deal in them ?
Thanks,
D.

That is the filter only, not the adapter or wire cage. You have to buy the complete set once, then after that you can just buy replacement filters.

The filter comes with a prefilter wrap, for use in severe conditions. It would be nice for something like desert racing....

Took me a while to find their site. It's ProDesing Racing: http://www.prodesignracing.com/main.htm
