Default desert cat 90 clutch slip ?

I have a dc90 for my daughter and the last 2 times we have been out riding she has had some problems with hills seems to get stuck near the top. I have to give her a little push to get going again. I am thinking the clutch maybe slipping. Not sure. Any help would be great thanks. oh yeah when she gets stuck she is giving full throttle and engine is reving, just not moving. Runs great on smaller hills and flat ground. we have only had it about 9 months.

Might need a new clutch and clutch bell. I'd replace the belt and rollers while you're in it.

well after talking to the fine folks at hetrick racing, they think my problem is stall stop. So I ordered a new clutch kit and a new no rev cdi box. I will let everyone know how it turns out. I will be getting the parts friday. thanks for the help

It's obviously a stall problem but the question is why? I usually don't question Hetrick, they are a top notch company....BUT I would suspect one of two things if the engine revs. If it was wet, it could be belt slippage. Or your clutch shoes are glazed. Pay attention to the bell and see if it's a bluish color. That means it's been HOT. Too hot. Stronger springs or lighter rollers might mask the problem but I'm not sure it's a real fix. Lighter rollers might also cost you some speed, if that's an issue.

Just my $.02.
