thats compression, if you jump alot set it a little stiff so it doesnt bottom out and play with the compression to see what set up you like

I have had these on several quads over the years (Steelers w/rez front and Ultracross rear), and they are outstanding shocks! The set on my 400EX, have not been serviced or rebuilt in years (guess I'm just lazy), and they are still going strong.

First off, sounds like you are talking the fronts here, right???? You need to begin by adjusting preload/ride height. This is best done with a tool that will hold the spring compressed. (I got one from White Bros, and it is well worth the money to have one of these!) Once the spring has the tension off it, there is a clip that you move up or down, as you wish. Really simple.

Compression damping is the screw on the can, and rebound damping (if you have it) will be somewhere on the body of the shock. DO NOT mess with the nitrogen valve....DO NOT try to refill it yourself!
