Can anyone tell me where this goes or where it came from? Is it important? I need to get it back on before this weekends trip. Sorry not the best picture but someone should recognize it. Thanks!!

 

bottom of the airbox... water plug...(more of a drain plug)

i say clean it out the best u can before u put it back on( look for a protruding tube like part coming off the bottom of the airbox.

 

awesome thank you I see it now... i think the spring has loosened up but should be an easy fix. Any idea why my airbox would be full of oily dirt. There shouldnt be any oil in the airbox at all am i correct on this?

 

there may be a vent tube connected to it.. if u have a foam filter it may get a bit oily/dirty after a while
