Is 600 lbs too much? Granted less would be better, but really considering everything that you get, I think they would be pretty hard pressed to make it much lighter. Look at how heavy the Wolverine is and that's half of a Renegade. Maybe if they used the Rotax 650 single cylinder from the DS 650 one cylinder would make it quite a bit lighter. Of course it wouldn't have the monster torque the v twin has now. The best sport machines are almost 400lbs. That's with half the cylinders, two less differentials and one less shock. Really, 600 isn't too bad. If it was made by Polaris, it would be more like 765lbs ish. The Grizzly is only one cylinder and with racks it's in the same ball park as the Renegade.

It looks sweet in the picture and I've always said that my next quad would be black, preferably all black, but it looks like it will do ... now they just need to get them to the dealers. I've been waiting for the '08 and now I'll probably have to wait even longer.

Black plastics look great when new, but the plastics on my outlaw show every litle scratch. More so than the plastics on my other machines. Maybe Can-Am's will hold up better. Only time will tell.

Not for a UTE quad that works great in woods and mud

So has anyone spoken with a dealer on the X machines yet? I'm curious how much longer I'm going to have to wait to pick up an X versus a standard one? In addition, how much more $$$ are they going to be?

On a side note ... I think my dealer is sick of me because they aren't returning my calls or emails. I tried to get them to simply call me when the '08s arrive and they said no, so instead, I've been calling them everytime they have asked me to as a follow-up. These quads can't get to the dealer soon enough!
